How to Import Your Data into Goldilocks CRM

Importing your data shouldn't be a technical hurdle. The Goldilocks Import Assistant is designed to map your spreadsheets directly into your workspace with minimal manual effort.

The Step-by-Step Process

1. Locate the Import Assistant

Navigate to your Settings menu and select the Import/Export tab. Click on Upload Files under the Import Data section to launch the assistant.

2. Prepare Your Data (The Templates)

If you are starting fresh or want to ensure your data is formatted correctly:

  • Click Download Templates within the assistant.
  • Use these files to fill in your data (Contacts, Deals, etc.).
  • Note: Using these templates ensures all headers line up perfectly for a one-click upload.

3. Upload Contacts

Drag and drop your contacts.csv into the assistant. Since Goldilocks handles the mapping automatically, you won’t have to manually match fields. Click Upload contacts.csv to proceed.

4. Sync Your Data (System IDs)

Once contacts are in, you need to link them to your deals:

  • Click Download Smart List. This generates a file containing your Unique System IDs.
  • These IDs act as the "glue" that keeps your deals connected to the right people in the background.

5. Finalize Deals and Tasks

Upload your updated deals.csv (using the IDs from the previous step). Click Finish & Go to Dashboard. Your pipeline, activity logs, and contact counts will update instantly.
